Our busy farm is located in the shadow of Pendle Hill, Lancashire. If you have ever walked the famous steps of Pendle Hill, you will no doubt have passed one of our flock.
After many years of raising our Swaledale x Blue faced Leicester flock, we brought our first Valais Blacknose home to the farm in December 2018.
ABOUT THE BREED
Valais Blacknose originate from Valais in Switzerland. This means that they are a hardy breed, good hill climbers and able to withstand cold temperatures. With our unpredictable weather here in Pendle, they have settled straight in!
They are a dual-purpose breed, used for both meat and wool.
Valais Blacknose have a unique temperament, and increasing numbers are being kept as pets due to this.
The fact that they are extremely cute certainly helps too!
